Guest guest
And I do mean 'big loser' in the most positive light! :-) I know that there are several people on this list who have lost substantial amounts of weight. Maybe this is a superficial concern of mine, but I'm wondering about skin. Specifically, as you lost weight, has your skin shrunk or contracted along with you? I've got quite a bit of weight to lose and this is something that has been on my mind. I'm not yet thirty and am hoping that my skin will still be elastic enough to adjust gracefully. Thanks! Guest guest
, I've lost 110, but I'm 57. At my age, the skin is not as elastic anymore. At your age, you should do fine, especially if you build up some exercising along the way to tone. I frankly don't care if I have the saggy skin....it's a much much better tradeoff for the fat! I'll take flabby any day over the alternative. But again, at your nice young age you should not have a problem! Bette 278/169/160?
Guest guest
Bette, Could you share how long it took you to lose your weight? Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, I've been on program for 17 months now, since 6/1/03. I follow Flex, and I love it! Bette in CA
Guest guest
Thanks, Bette! Congrats on the 110 lbs, BTW. Awesome! I'll definitely take some sagging skin over this extra pudge! But I have to admit that lately I've been fantasizing about all the clothes I'm going to wear when I get to goal. I've never been able to wear body conscious clothing and I'd really love to be able to wear some knock-'em-dead outfits! These weight loss fantasies of mine ususally involve me walking into a room of people who turn and stare. There is a soundtrack and everything happens in slow motion. I think I watch too many movies! <grin> RE: question for the 'big losers' out there , I've lost 110, but I'm 57. At my age, the skin is not as elastic anymore. Guest guest
I'm not sure how much weight you consider substantial ) but I've lost 66 pounds and I don't have a problem with loose skin. The only exception is my tummy but it's because of pregnancy and a ton of stretch marks. I don't think there is anyway to make that go away other than surgery. Everything else firmed up nicely with the change in diet and exercise.
