Is it supposed to be a good one? I saw an ad for it today in my junk mail.

You know.... Ray has a knife out now. I can't afford it, but it is oh

so tempting!

Yes, that's where I saw it!!! Is it a good knife? Seems expensive.

Re: knives

Received my JC Penny " Cook " catalog - on page 87 they have Ray

Santoku knives for $59.99 for the 7-inch and $39.99 for the 5-inch.

Thanks for all these tips. I'll bet she sharpens hers right before each

show though.

I have no clue but it sure looks as though RR uses it with so much ease and

it actually gets the job done quicker. I bought the $20 Kitchen Aid one

from Target. Just a waste of money. It cuts ok but it's not that sharp and

I'm not any where near as fast as RR.

Good suggestion Shelia!

Thanks,

Re: knives

>>It cuts ok but it's not that sharp<<

and Pam: You might want to sharpen the knife or take it to a

professional knife sharpener. I was told at one store that sold kitchen items

that the knives could not be sharpened like they should for safety reasons. My

knives that I bought were very dull. I don't have them to the sharpness that I

think is appropriate right now, but I am getting there. I like my knife to

slice like cutting thru butter - not needing much effort on my part to cut thru

a carrot, a piece of beef or a tomato!
