Granted there are variations in the LID, as with just about every aspect of thyca protocol, but I've never heard anyone saying there were allowed 8 ounces of dairy a day. Dairy is one of the food groups highest in iodine content. It's impossible to come up with a clear cut number for just how much iodine is in milk, since there are too many variables, but my every account, and a few ounces of milk will provide more than an entire day's iodine allotment for a low iodine diet (50 mcg/day).
