Guest guest
Congratulations on having the self awareness, to realize what you were doing, ! Give youself a lot of credit for that. I've been overwhelmed with emotions lately, and it's been hard not to self-medicate with food, so I can stuff the feelings back down. You have broken the chain of events, which could have lead to a real relapse. Calling for help (and interactive " journalling " here) should help you get back on track! Guest guest
, Thanks for posting this. I think most of us assume our surgeons don't want to hear anything but successes from us once we're released from the hospital. It's nice to know you can go in to get a pep talk if needed. I feel like I keep playing chicken with my scale...waiting for it to start increasing before I get back to basics. Lame! I really need to think of Dr. Tanaka's stern, unsmiling face every time I'm faced with temptation. He scares me more than my own conscience. pascha =) -130 lbs. > Hi everyone > > I have been feeling outta control lately, and have gained back 6 > pounds!!! Guest guest
, question here. Isn't Stage IV the final stage? Does he mean Stage III. Just curious as I turned 12 weeks on May 3rd but my 12 week post op apt is this Thursday, May 12th. It is at this meeting that they advance us to Stage IV which is what I thought was the way you eat the rest of your life minus things like salad, etc. Please confirm and enlighten me. Thanks. Guest guest
Good for you! Personal responsibility is the key to any success, or failure! I upped my excercise by 5 minutes per day at Tawny's suggestion and it broke a plateau for me. You know, when we gain or lose, it is because of the choices we make. Welcome back to the WINNING team, you can do it! Rory > Hi everyone > > I have been feeling outta control lately, and have gained back 6 > pounds!!! Guest guest
Thanks Uncle Timmy I think being almost two years out I just got lazy. I too have been battling extreme emotions and hectic work environment(state funded non profit child care). I refuse to put back on anymore weight and get back on track!!! Guest guest
Even though Dr Fisher has been extremely wonderful, I went in expecting to be chastised. It was actually completely supportive and positive. He even listened to my personal issues and is going to research some resources for me! He was so caring and supportive. I left the appt revitalized and re motivated. He is a wonderful doctor and absolutely cares about his patients...mind, body and spirit!!
