Guest guest
hi Kathy! Welcome! Have you checked out GFCFdiet.com yet? it is the " bible " for this diet. It has everything you could ever possibly want to know in it. Congrats on doing the diet; I hope you find as many successes as so many of us have found- my son has been on the diet for almost 2 years; i have personally been on it for almost 9 months. I find it is easier to do it for him when i am also doing it myself...I just wanted the house to be safe for him, and to not have to hide food or say " no, you can't have any of my snack " or whatever...It also helps me cook better as I have to find and buy more interesting things. I will personally never make him eat or drink anything that i would not eat or drink myself- so that is my personal tip. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to give me a call at ; i love sharing tips about the diet. -- April is Autism Awareness Month!! gfcfdiet > Hello everyone. My name is Kathy Millard. Guest guest
Good for you! and for your son too! My 4yo has been casein-free for 2 years and gluten-yeast free about 6 mos. It is amazing all the food items that contain gluten & casein. I am forever learning. The website gfcfdiet.com has/had a list of ingredients to avoid and I'll tell you that's been the biggest helper. Also, talking to other parents helps. Hearing about what other kids like so you know what maybe to try or what not to try. If your child is a bread lover, some of the parents here (including myself) order bagels, buns, and breads from a wonderful bakery in Florida. If you'd like, I'd be willing to put some samples together of their products for you to try. You can email me privately if you're interested (stacyhunter@...). We saw amazing results - I hope you get some too! -----Original Message-----From: joelijah Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2003 5:54 PMTo: EverydayMiraclesAutism Subject: gfcfdiet Hello everyone. Guest guest
Hi everyone. I am up in the middle of the night just so excited and amazed. My son has been casein free for only 2 days. haven't started the gluten yet. My husband came home from work last night late and was amazed at how social Elijah was with him and even how he was talking well. I am amazed even at the fact that Elijah hasn't snored for the last 2 nights. I'm wondering if we are just imagining things or if this is true. Well, thank you everyone and I will continue to keep you updated on his progress. Kathy RE: gfcfdiet Good for you! and for your son too!
