Hi Anne.....

I'm a nurse. I just had my first RAI on June 16. (hopefully, my last)

:) My TT was 4-25-03, so I have not been regulated on my Synthroid as yet.

After 4 weeks post RAI I'm still very tired. Some days are better than others,

but without having a crystal ball, you just have to go with the " flow " . I

would be hard pressed to be working right now as a nurse. I'm currently on 125

mcg of Synthroid. I'm sure that isn't enough. I would definitely take 2

weeks off before and after your scan. I would, also, explain to your hospital

that you might need more time off. The hospital needs to realize that YMMV. I

know they want to know now, but in your case that isn't feasible. They will

just have to work with you. There is the issue of liability for you and the

hospital if you go back too soon. Believe me, I DO know how hospitals are about

nurse's work schedules. You didn't say if you work full time? or 12 hour

shifts?

Good luck,

Diane :)
