Guest guest
When we got our daughter's DOCBand, we were told that when we changed her it was ok to just take off the helmet so that way we can wipe off some sweat that there may be due to being on all day. >From: <jennymadams@...> >Reply-Plagiocephaly >Plagiocephaly >Subject: Re: Re: Onesies? >Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2007 09:42:12 -0700 (PDT) > >We just take the helmet off to get dressed. Guest guest
we usually take joeys off but if you get the undershirt style onesies the lap shoulder usually gives enough extra space to put it over his band (which we have done) though not sure if it would be the same of the slightly bigger helmets as it is barely. that said I personallyw ould check the more off places for snap front like k mart, family dollar, dollar general, big lots or I would check the specialty stores like babies r us. those are the places I typically see them On 10/16/07, christineashok <christineashok@...> wrote: oops... Guest guest
No it isn't bad. Many people do that. I personally preferred to have clothes that I could put on over the helmet. But that was mainly due to the fact that I had 2 other kids I was trying to chase around. So it was just easier for me. Angie and Jenna(STAR grad) Re: Onesies? Guest guest
No, I did that too...... However when he would fall asleep and his shirt was a mess I found it was a lot easier with the snap front ones. It also, as an added benefit, helped with we had explosive poos, to pull it down across his body rather than over his head and the helmet. <jennymadams@...> wrote: We just take the helmet off to get dressed. Guest guest
He's in daycare 3x a week and they don't feel all that comfortable removing the helmet and putting it back on... Off to shop tonight--Old Navy is very close by! Thanks much for all of the tips! Yes, we've been having explosive ones these days as well from the antibiotics for ear/sinus infections. Guest guest
I've been taking it off first thing in the AM (he's only been in it 2 full nights now) because he is SO sweaty. Then, I'll take it off a bit in the afternoon to let his head breathe and then again for his bath. We go tomorrow AM for our first adjustment (Hanger) appt! He has a few red areas that I'd like to see go away, but otherwise is doing great. Guest guest
The button downs are especially helpful for sleeping at night. The last thing you want to have to do is take a band off a baby in the middle of the night if baby has leaked and needs a change of clothes :>) Molly California Nicolas, 2, tort & plagio, STARband 4/24/06-9/12/06, Graduate! , 4.5 , 8 Re: Re: Onesies?
