Guest guest
Liquids will expand when frozen causing a great deal of stress on your container. To freeze you should empty some of the contents and make sure it is in a container that is at least as strong as normal plastic used for freezing. > I sometimes will freeze milk but lately a couple gallons have leaked > while > thawing. Guest guest
When I freeze gallons of milk, I open them first and pour off about a 1/2 cup of milk, replace the cap loosely, and freeze. This allows room for the milk to expand in the freezer. Otherwise you will almost surely get some leaking out the top, and can even get a crack in the plastic. does anyone freeze milk/doing this correctly I sometimes will freeze milk but lately a couple gallons have leaked while thawing. Should I perhaps buy smaller quantities like a half-gallon so it won't expand so much and cause a crack in the container, or does anyone recommend a different-type container in which to freeze it? Thanks.
