Guest guest
well, at my group, the leader and the receptionists all LOVE Core! They've been doing it since March, and still think it's awesome. For me, that was the best recommendation. However, within the group, I seem to be the only one who is doing Core at this time. I think, for many, the Flex system is a security blanket, a known entity. I'm sure if I were still in the successful, honeymoon phase of Flex, I'd resist changing. However, I have honestly been struggling with program for over 2 years now, and was hungry for a real mindset change.I originally lost 50 pouinds and got within 3 lbs. of goal. Then my life fell apart - my 19 yo went into rebellion for the first time in his entire, overly compliant life, and a close friend spent 8 months dying of cancer. I succumbed to emotional eating, and gained back 45 lbs. For this entire year, I have been trying to get my enthusiasm back for counting Flex points, but, honestly, I knew in my heart that it was not enough of a change in eating habits to weather an emotional storm, and I just couldn't regain original excitement about counting points and being able to eat the same foods as ever. So, when Core came out, I knew it was the answer for me. I'd already been experimenting with healthier eating (vegetarian meals occasionally - less cheese - less sugar.) Also, I've recently seen my mother and sister go on a complete Vegan diet, for diabetes. They dropped weight so fast, and my mom got off her diabetes meds in a matter of weeks. For me, that was another good sign that better food choices were what I needed to explore. Not willing to give up meats and dairy products for life, I was thrilled with the new Core program, which was more of a reasonable lifestyle change that I was willing to make. Honestly, my body feels better eating this way, and I don't want to go back to putting saturated fats and simple carbohydrates in my body on a regular basis. I can't believe that I am constantly losing weight without tracking. I expect that has to end sooner or later, and I'm afraid it will be before I reach goal, but, for now, I am enjoying the new found freedom. It works with my lifestyle. CindiT 183/173/135 lost 10 lbs. on Core in 6 weeks - not an exciting rate of loss, but just what I am aiming for - slow and steady wins the race
