My DS and DIL are on CORE. Both have lost weight weekly for the

first time in months. (This is DIL's 4 week and DS's 2 week). Both

are eating their fill, snacking whenever they want to and loving not

having to count points. Both feel a sort of freedom and like it's

not a diet. And both are eating more healthy than they have all

their adult life and feeling MUCH better because they are getting

more vitamins out of their food.

But they know how to work the program. When DIL cooks CORE foods,

you don't even know that you are not eating " naughty " foods but

rather healthy foods. And when DS gets home from work and gets the

munchies, he enjoys having a snack if he wants one.

Watching them and their success and how much they are enjoying CORE,

I would say that Weight Watchers has (again) produced a winning

program and I agree that leaders should not knock it.

I agree they serve the same purpose...to make you healthier. But

let's face it..if people don't compare the programs how would they

know what would be best for them? To tell people not to compare is

ridiculous.

Oh Gail, I'm not cutting it down at all, that's not the way I meant it

either. I actually think it's a good think to have the choice and I'm

sure I will be trying it eventually. We were out to dinner tonight

and I thought about how much easier this would be if I was on Core.

I think anything that works would be great!

Gail,

I am doing CORE after 8 successful months on Flex. Being a Type-A

person, I liked the control of adding and counting and keeping within

the points limits. When they introduced CORE, I thought it was

ridiculous to stop counting. But when I figured out that I could eat

all the fruit and lean meats I desired, I thought I'd give it a try.

After 6 weeks, I find that I am having the same success, but I am

enjoying life so much more. There is a freedom that comes from knowing

that if I choose the right foods, I am not tied down to adding and

counting and depriving myself. I got to the point where I knew the

points values of things I liked, and could do much of the math in my

head, but I was still doing a mental exercise that cost me something in

quality of life. On flex, I lived with fear that my weight loss was a

temporary thing, and that once I was freed from the requirement to

count, I would just go back to my old eating habits, and gain the weight

back. On CORE, I am eating what I enjoy, enjoying what I eat, and this

is definitely a food habit I can see myself living the rest of my life.

I am a huge CORE fan..but getting smaller all the time! -Chris

Core/Flex

Since I just rejoined yesterday I'm wondering how many of you are

doing Core and if you like it. I'm so programmed to do Flex after

being on it for 2 yrs. I'm not sure if I have enough control for Core.

I'm afraid I would over eat. I lost 90lbs on Flex and have gained

back 30lbs so I want to get back on track. At the meeting they said

the weekly weight loss is about the same for both.
