I don't think I have noticed it totaly dissolving in any liquid. Sometimes I

sprinkle a little on the foos I'm eating and then drink water. Since I read the

post listing asite about creatine and weight gain, I have been splitting my 5

mg up into at least four I just take a little each time I eat or so. This seems

to be working better for me. I don't get that trerrible hunger feeling I got

taking 5mg or 2.5 at a time.

tried warming the water in the microwave to see if it would dissolve

better. It did, but then left a funny residue, probably not good.

Now we just mix it in my nighttime tube formula which is always room

temp.

I am hoping that the weight gain that people see is from increased

muscle tone. Muscle weighs more than fat.

I haven't noticed that taking it makes me hungry.

Me either! I'm hoping that greater endurance and strength will allow me to

work off some of what I already have.

I have been taking the creatine fro about two weeks now, and trying to make an

effort to be more active. I am using some of the weight machines at lunch time,

aimimg for a weight I could do 12 reps of. I do 3 upper body and 3 lower body

machines, takes me ten min. I was able to walk farther and do the stairs

today!(I avoid the stairs like the plague!)

So far it is working!!!!! O

I am happy to hear you are venturing into weights, and that you are

seeing a positive result with the creatine and exercise!

If you continue to do the weights, i would like t suggest that you

watch how often you can do them in a week. For me, I feel I should

only do each muscle group every 5-7 days, or I feel I may not have the

time to heal and grow the muscle. But, I push on the max weight that I

use. I have had results with this regimen. That kind of protocol is

what is recommended in the weight-lifting magazines, like Mr.

Muscle(the library happen to have that one, or a similar title, I

really don't remember exactly) I am NOT saying that your schedule is

bad - only YOU can determine that. Just trying to suggest that if you

persue it more, try to think about the frequency that you do each

muscle group. Dr. Tarnapolski also says something about strength

exercise in his article in the UMDF Newsletter, (sometime 2004), but

his point is that mito patients may need a long rest in between sets.

That does not seem to be the case for you. Me neither, too much, but I

do need about 2 minutes between each set. Dr. Tarnopolski does not

seem to be as concerned as I am about the long gap between a particular

muscle workout as I am, I just found that when I didn't take that gap,

I seemed to make no progress. Also, I DO know that creatine helps me

with my strength. I have been off and on it, and I can definitely tell

the difference.

Gads, I can never seem to write a short post! Sorry!

Sunny, right now I am only doing one set with each exercise. I started with 12

reps of each machine, now on the ones I can feel I can do more I do more. I stop

at the point of fatigue. If I feel really bad on a day I don't to the machines

that day. I occationally now will try to push a little meaning trying to do A

walk or bike ride later in the day or doing the stairs instead of the elevator.

I could not do this without the creatine. I was tied by 10 rep mat exercise

without weight or 1 # only. THis is part of how I know the creatine helps. I

feel a more normal fatigue. Because I work in physical therapy I understand how

a normal should react, and I have the ability to use the machine at work at

lunch or after work. in Michigan

That is great! I am really glad that the creatine is helping you, and

that you have the machines available. Hope you continue to gain

strength. I do believe it is possible!
