Well guys, I have to hand it to all of you who have recovered so well

after this surgery. I'm on day 6 and still feel like absoulute

crap! Pain is still major in the port area and I'm still on heavy

drugs for it. I have staples in that hopefully come out tomorrow and

they look really grosse. I think the main reason I have suffered so

bad is I have three cuts right on the waistline and when I try and

sit they fold in between the midriff roll and the tummy roll so I

sort of stick together...not a pretty picture. LOL My port cut is

quite long about 8-9cm the rest of the cuts are only about 2 cm. One

of the nurses told me I had bleeding probs and was opened up more to

clamp whatever it was causing it. As far as trying to keep up with

fluids I am having to force myself to drink as I feel like I've just

had a five course Christmas dinner (all the time) The nausea has

stopped thank God but I just feel full all the time, no hunger

whatsoever. Had a bad crying session last night and still wonder why

I did this to myself voluntarily, but I'm hoping I won't regret this

when I see lots of weight drop off. So far 1.6 kg down. Have my

official weigh-in tomorrow. Thanks to everyone here for your lovely

words of comfort and support, you guys are whats keeping me afloat at

the moment. Thankyou.

Oh Karin, you sound so much like l did. I couldn't believe l did this to

myself. I was in so much pain, the whole thing was horrible. Let me tell you

each day does get better, and now l am so glad l had the surgery. Hang in

there and try to think down the road a bit when you are loosing weight and

feeling much better about the whole thing. It will be worth it
