I don't wanna try Core cause I'm afraid it would be too limiting and I'm a rebellious type. But everyone says it's not limiting at all so I may end up giving it a try. " I would have to disagree, Lue Anne. Core IS very limiting. That's why it's working. I had to be willing to give up these foods that I used to rely on: breads of all sorts, white rice, regular pasta and cheese. ( and I LOVE cheese!) Also, french fries and ice cream are out! Not that I really have to give them up, but 35 points a week doesn't go far with those kinds of foods, so I have been making other choices for some of them, doing without for others, and treating cheese like chocolate in my life - it's an occasional treat for me now. On Flex, I could eat all of those things every day - Just not much of them. On Core, I am learning to enjoy brown rice instead of white. Hot grainy cereal every morning fills me up for hours. I can have fruit or fruit smoothies anytime I need a pick me up. And, being a creative cook, I am enjoying learning to cook new things. I am expanding my horizons! When I make polenta wedges with chunky sauce on top, no one else knows it's good for them! So, choose Flex if you want to feel in control of your portions, and want to eat the same foods you have always eaten. It will allow you to lose weight without significantly changing your lifestyle. The work is in the tracking points. Choose Core if you want to know you can eat whenever you're hungry, and if you want to eat only " healthy " food choices. The work is in the grocery shopping and learning how to prepare new things. For me, I believe Core is a lifestyle I can live with . . .
