Hi Tricia,

my daughter wore a STARband for brachy (flat in back)and we had a very

good experience. the key is the person using the band. At cranial tech

they do only banding, so all their people are well trained. Some

orthos who use other products may do many type of orthotics, and will

have varying experience banding babies. If you go with a closer

provider, just check them out well to make sure they have a good

reputation for banding.

At 10mm I would probably band. That was the point at which our doctor

recommended banding (cranio facial plastic surgeon) and some people

band at lower numbers. If your baby is young you can try

repositioning, for a month or two first. If he is 6 mo or more, I

would get a band. But of course I haven't seen him, so it is hard to

say. You might want to post some pics in the photos section and get

some feedback that way. It does take a little adjustment to your

schedule and your mindset, but the band it really much easier than it

seems like it will be when you first hear about it. I'm really glad we

banded my daughter.

take care. -christine
