I'm sure it will only be a short time before you stall at 167 like the rest of us. < > :-) Seriously, though, I have been lucky with this diet. Not sure why, except that I was a HUGE carb addict before I started -- that might have something to do with it. But if I ever start feeling smug, I just remember that my husband has lost twice as much as me. Forty pounds in twelve weeks. Amazing, since he's NEVER been able to stick with a diet. I've lost weight very strangely, though. I lost 10 lbs. on Phase 1. After that I had two month-long plateaus, then both times I lost several pounds practically overnight. So I've spent most of this diet feeling like I haven't accomplished anything because the weight loss has been so sporadic. It was kind of a shock today to realize that I've averaged a pound a week since Phase 1, even though in eight of those ten weeks I didn't lose an ounce. All in our own time, I guess. Hang in there!! Guest guest
Laurie - Yep, I'm the one with the nearly identical stats, although you're moving a little bit quicker than me. I started on July 8 at 185. Congrats on your four lb. loss and crossing the 20 lb. mark! I was really looking forward to hitting that 20 lb. mark soon, which is why I am Phase 1'ing for a few days and stepping up the workouts. And, at my ultimate goal of 145, I will be comfortably in a size 10 as well. My mini-goal is 155 by Christmas. Keep up the good work :-) !!
