Guest guest
I have been reading the posts.I read some spouses take off, because they cant handle it,some stay, and care for their loved ones . My hat is off to those who stayed[if I had a hat on],those of us who face this disease alone look up to the caregivers[lovegivers]. Guest guest
Hey, Dennis, we are not saints. We are just doing what we are supposed to do. I have seen times when I was ready to run away. But where to? And who would do what I was doing? It took a full staff at the hospitals and the nursing homes to do what I was doing every day. No, we take a bit of credit but we were just lumbering along and learning as we went. Questioning every thing and guessing at a lot of it. No one knows what to do. No one knows what to expect. No two patients are alike. No one can tell you how to react or what to do to make it better or make it all go away. It can cause nightmares if you worry too much. There are no good answers. That is why everyone is needed on this list. Someone has done, or is doing what someone else is worrying about doing. Just be sure you check with your doctor before you change what he has ordered for you. Confusing paragraph, huh? So is the awful illness. Make each day a good one. If you get tired of the day, spend some time on your own and relax. Get everyone out of your space for a while. Patients and care givers. Every one needs a time and place of their own. Not selfishly, but for your own good sense and health. Remember, even the Lord took time off. Ralph use to tell me I hovered too much. So I got "lost" for a few minutes. Then he came looking for me. This has been a very good soul searching and common sense night. I love to talk to all of you when we can lay all the burdens on the table and we can share the load. Take care and have a rest filled night and a good tomorrow. Barb in Arlington. Creeping off to bed. -- "Love is a fruit in season at all times."
