Hi Dawn:

I usually have at least a minor flareup in my nose

after a dental cleaning. In fact the first flare I

ever had was the day after a dental cleaning, in my

nose, I thought the hygienist had been too rough with

me LOL.

No i haven't been taking antibiotics. I ask Dr. if I

should do anything before and he said he didn't think

i would have a problem. But it seems everytime i go

something happens. But how do you convince the Dr.

No i haven't been taking antibiotics

Hi- Pete was told from the beginning to take zithromax 500 mg 2 hours prior to any invasive dental work(extractions, cleanings) and he has always felt fine after work with no flare-ups. This information we got from this group, gave it to our doc and he agreed. Janet G

What meds do you take. Some of the meds cause your

immune system to be down and then you are more likely

to get an infection. I know what you mean about dr.

the are a pain in the butt sometimes!:o)

Take care

Lots of love

Yes, I do the same, 500mg zith 2 hours prior and then they have me take

another 250mg the next day. This is because of my heart. But I feel much

better after I see the dentist.LOL At least for a week. No flares during

that time.

Bev, this pain in your head sounds so familiar. They are blaming mine on

Chiari Malfromation I or Arnold Chiari Malformation. This is totally

separate from RP. Mine showed up on a MRI of my brain when they were trying

to rule out MS.

It can cause pressure in your eyes or behind your eyes, clumsiness, balance

problems, tingling in hands and feet, vision problems, pain in head when

coughing or sneezing. It is a rare thing also. There are alot of other

symptoms that mimic RP, like difficulty swallowing, back and joint pain.

Just thought if you were having tests ran that they could look for that at

the same time. Don't want to add another illness, but the pain sounded so

familiar.

Hope they can find out soon what it is. Wishing you the best.

Hugs
