Guest guest
I work out between 6 and 9 hours per week, in a variety of classes, from Jazzercise to body sculpting to water aerobics to yoga. I started out with three classes per week about a year ago and have worked my way up to where I am now. I had a fitness assessment done at the health club this weekend and was thrilled to come up with a body fat percentage of 16%. I also scored in the excellent range on flexibility and strength. They suggested that I get my cardio up a bit - I'm probably not getting my heart rate up into the right zone for long enough in my cardio workouts. I scored very good, but could stand to improve. I am living proof, as are many people on this list, that you can go from total couch potato to a good level of fitness in a relatively short period of time as long as you stick with it and challenge yourself. Guest guest
I had been doing circuit training on my bowflex 3 days a week, and swimming every day. After a while my body gets used to that, so, now I'm switching to 3 days a week on my recumbent stationary bike, 2 days on the bowflex, and swimming whenever I can. Usually my workouts vary from 45 min to 1 hour. Teres Question of the day 7/26 How many times a week, and for how long do you exercise? I know everybuddy is individual, and what works for one might not work for another, but I thought it might be fun for us to see what others are doing! My Answer: I normally workout 5-6 days a week. I usually do some combination of things....treadmill, elliptical, videos/dvds, and weights. It just depends on my mood. I normally do 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, again depending on what I choose to do. What about you? Maureen
Guest guest
> How many times a week, and for how long do you exercise? > It depends on the week. I'm training for a marathon, so I have a set training schedule, but on average I workout six times a week for 45 minutes to over an hour, depending on the workout. I usually run four times a week, take a pilates class twice a week, and do two cross training workouts (cardio other than run, weights, or yoga).
