Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations on your 17 pound weight loss. I think you are being a little to demanding on yourself. You have lost 17 pounds in 15 days that is amazing and you should be very proud of yourself. Sometimes you body will stop losing for a couple of days but that is just because it is readjusting. Keep up the good work. Ramona
Guest guest
Hi , I had my surgery on 2/25/05 and have lost 18 lbs. so far. At this point I don't want to know how much I'm losing so I just keep on doing what I'm supposed to do and I'm sure that the numbers will go down. You might want to keep away from the scale for awhile - it can be depressing not to see it change. Remember, you are also losing inches. Keep up the good work - I know you'll succeed. Adrienne in Riverside Open RNY: 2/25/05 Dr. Leo in San Diego 274/256/120??? Hit a plateau Hi everyone, My name is and I had RNY-Lap on 2/22/05. I have lost 17 lbs since then, but I seem to be stuck there. I walk about 1mile and a half a day and do some kind of excersice either tai bo or aerobics for about 30-45 minutes. I'm still on Isopure 65g per day. I'm taking my vitamines religiously and slowly eating mushy food. I'm not having any problems with my food, I'm able to keep food down. Did I hit a plateau or am I too demanding on myself? Please advise.pre-op 237post-op
Guest guest
Jeez , relax already! You aren't even on a plateau yet! I don't think it's a plateau until it lasts at least two weeks. Your body is just taking a little rest. You've just had MAJOR surgery! Even if it was done lap, your innards have had major rerouting. ly, I'm surprised you are able to do that much exercise! Give yourself a break. Hey, you asked for advice, you got it! sonia wrote: > Hi everyone, My name is and I had RNY-Lap on 2/22/05. I have > lost 17 lbs since then, but I seem to be stuck there. Guest guest
Ramona, Thanks for your support. I put my scale away and don't want to get on it for a little while. I was given that advise earlier, and was suggested to use a measuring tape to measure my success. Thanks! > Hi , > Congratulations on your 17 pound weight loss. Guest guest
Thanks for the wake up call Eleanor. I appreciate your words of wisdom. Remember, there are alot of us " newbies " might be overwhelmed regardless of all the research we might have done. I will continue my routine and wont be soo anxious. I need to keep in mind " This is a long term process " Thanks again. > > > Hi everyone, My name is and I had RNY-Lap on 2/22/05. I have > > lost 17 lbs since then, but I seem to be stuck there. Guest guest
Right now all I am doing is walking several times a day. This weekend we are going out to comb the garage sales and see if we can find a treadmill. Hit a plateau> > > > Hi everyone, My name is and I had RNY-Lap on 2/22/05. Guest guest
Well, you know what they say " another persons loss is another person's gain, but if you find it, you will be the one losing. > > Hi , > > > > I had my surgery on 2/25/05 and have lost 18 lbs. so far. Guest guest
I am just the opposite, I loved to step on the scale every morning, when I didn't see a change or a larger number (eek) I kept dwelling on it and it helped with the willpower throught the day. Since I now have found an eating plan that I know is working, I am only stepping on every Monday. I would much rather see a pound or two less than ounces. My reward. You are on your way, so just keep it up. Jeanne > > Hi , > > Congratulations on your 17 pound weight loss. I think you are being > a little > > to demanding on yourself.
