Discouraged- but I got goals!

Ok... I know some people may not agree w/ me on this, but I'm a very

goal-oriented person. Vague goals do not appeal to me. I want

deadlines!

So, when I was having trouble staying on program, I set myself a

goal. November 27th, 2004. That's my goal day. I didn't factor in

plateaus...bad Off Program weekends...brain farts at Panera when I

KNOW that the Seafood Bisque is WAY more than 5 pts, yet I order it

anyways.

BUT, having that goal really set me on track. I want to lose weight

so I can fit into my skinny clothes from last year before I put my

30 lbs. back on ('cause those extra lbs. are just so nice and

comfy...not.) I want to lose weight 'cause I love looking and

feeling sexy. I want to lose weight 'cause I like being fit. I

want to lose weight because I love how thin feels.

But, all those reasons weren't enough to get me back on track. I

would do fine for 3-4 days and then blow it during the weekend.

But now that I've set a goal for myself, I'm so gung-ho about WW!

=) I have a boost that I haven't felt since I first started the

program. I know this honeymoon stage will wear off. I know that

the first time I don't lose squat is gonna hurt. But, as long as I

have that goal day in sight, I'm gonna be fine. And the rest of

those REALLY GOOD reasons to lose weight will fall into place...just

like the first time I lost weight.

This is the last time baby...'cause I've got goals!
