Guest guest
Hi all, I was just diagnosed with follicular thyroid cancer on Friday. I am 28 and just can't seem to stop the emotions. Half my thyroid was removed 2 weeks ago. I now have until July 22 for the next surgery and then 6 weeks until RDI. I need help getting some questions answered. Please HELP! Even if you only want to answer a part! Surgery doesn't scare me--I went through it with no trouble and was out of the hospital in 12 hours! RDI terrifies me! Isolation??? For how long typically? What did you do to not go insane? Does drinking water help speed it up? How does the doc determine the hormone level to give you? Is that done by bloodwork? Lastly, I have already gone into hypohyroidism and I am SCREWED up! I can't imagine doing this for 12 weeks every year. Has anyone here heard/done thyrogen? Thanks for any info.
