LOL! I was wondering the same thing. I think they just mean brown sugar,

firmly packed when you measure it.

I was also curious as to what in the heck the vinegar for?

Ummm, beats me. I just do the brown sugar as I always do when I cook.

Perhaps someone else has an idea.

I don't know why the vinegar is in the recipe but I have a coconut pie recipe

and a pecan pie recipe that call for vinegar. Must have a purpose but I

couldn't tell you why, lol. By the way, those pie recipes are definitely not

OP, lol.
