Hello To Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! I need a little advice if someone has any input! My mama(Loretta) is 54. Symptoms 12/97 , DX 06/98. My mother is able to catherize herself! We recently had an appt. w/ her Urologist ( Albertson), She said that bladder and urine wise she was doing great! She was very impressed that she still had the ability to cath herself! I am her primary caregiver, as most of you know and the story with my ***hole stepfather & sister! Well she has been told to get her cath up to 3x aday! No prob. me & mama were up to 2. Well now here is the prob. My step-dad has taken Vacation through the Holidays and of course mama wants me to spend time here at home w/ Husband and kids! I still go over and check on her and call at least 4 to 5 x a day! They are not worried about her liquid intake and they thimk I am a total idiot when it comes to her care and the crazy things that work! I need a degree on my wall before anyone takes me serious except mama of course! I think they would have been glad if she passed 3 Chrismas' ago! They resent the fact that I help to keep her humor and to keep her going! OK enough of my novel(venting). My mama can no longer catherize period this past week-- all of a sudden when I am not there! I keep telling them about the liquids, they could care less and through out comments like We can't make her drink? I think her inability to cath is that she does not have enough liquid intake! Any Comments??????

I have already gotten into it with her used to be GP. What a total jerk! He told me that I was calling to much and bothering staff about lab work and urinalysis! And do you know they were taking it in a cup instaed of cath. ! Well he got his little ears and brain full from me! I even asked if it would help him as a Doc. if I sent him paperwork on the disease!!!!!

Take Care,
