Hi everybody. Many of you I do not know. Hopefully there are some of

you oldies I will remember. I have been off Atkins for 1 1/2 years?

Hard to believe it's been about that long already. My old computer

broke back then, and that was my first downfall. I lost touch with

everybody and just about died of it! I have to have support, lots of

it. When I lost the computer and couldn't get a new one then, I went

and joined WW. Which, I did very well on, lost 40 lbs., but gained

every stinking pound back when I got off it, just as I gained every

stinking pound when I got off Atkins. But there was no support like

ATKINS CHALLENGERS support! I have missed the post at Atkins so much.

I have bought my groceries, and want to try and work this out again.

I can't promise I'll hang in, but gonna try my hardest. Problem is,

I really lost motivation these last 6 mos or so. But I am up to 224

lbs., and my health is feeling the worst I've ever felt. My stomach

is so huge and hard! My back hurts, my stomach hurts, and I feel

like my liver/bladder hurts. Going to make a Dr. appointment. Which

I know what he will tell me, LOOSE Weight. So here I am, hoping to

give this my all again and loose. Looking forward to the bacon/eggs

in the a.m. and chef salad for lunch tomorrow.

Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated. And Diane, I'm

ready to walk, if my body will let me!

Pam/niprut

224/ for now

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! *RATHSMHO* HI PAM!!! Welcome back, you prodigal

daughter, you! I'm sure you will recognize a lot of us!

I'm glad you came back too though because the experience I bet taught you a

lesson: You can NEVER go back to eating the way you used to, EVER. You can

NEVER go OFF of Atkins AGAIN EVER. Do ya hear??? LOL Reason why is because

Atkins is the way we SHOULD be eating. No, not the high fat part of Induction.

But we should go from Induction to Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) then on to

Maintenance, where we should always stay. That is the food we need to be eating

for the rest of our lives. Not a bunch of high carb grains and sugars. No no

no. Whole foods, the way our ancestors ate. A cheat now and then won't bother

you once you reach goal but your focus should always be lower carbohydrate and

higher protein than the standard American diet.

So we are here for you all the way. I am pretty much starting over too after

many deaths in the family, but I am determined that I can be a thinner person

because I have the key to it in a yellow paperback book sitting here on my desk.

Easy to read, easy to follow and easy to lose weight with. Now, I am dealing

with the evil voices in my head....LMBO Yes, you didn't know I had those did

ya? I'm whipping them into shape and telling them to shape up or ship out!

Glad to have you back ((((((HUGE HUGS)))))))).

Kari
