I would probably go without the foam as well. I did not purchase

memory foam due to my fear of SIDS. My son started sleeping on his

belly right after he got his band (7.5 months). If we had tried the

foam, I would have removed it when he switched to belly sleeping.

Just my opinion. You may want to ask your pediatrician if it is

safe.
