Well, I wish you could all see this ecard. It is purple background and says

congratulations in bright yellow.

So please all join me in congratulating CATHERINE for WINNING the 30 day

wonder challenge. stuck with it for 30 days and lost 5 % of her

body weight. has always been a winner in my book but this time

she really shines!!!!! Go you are much closer to your goal now.

And also you get a prize and are known as the ULTIMATE 30 DAY WINNER.

And Sharyl, might I add was a close runner up. So Good going to you too

Sharyl. You did great in this challenge and will forever more be known as

a Thirty Day Wonder. And you get a prize too.

And when Joanne gets back, I fully expect that she will report in and tell

us she is a thirty day wonder too. Looks like we have three Wonders here

folks so lets all give them the honor they are due for such hard hard work.

And ladies, please send me your snail mail addresses so you can get your

WONDERful surprise in the mail.

Thanks you guys, the challenge really kept me thinking about what I was

eating and really helped me through this horrible last couple of weeks. I

can't wait for the next one to start!!! I *need* to post my menus or I get

this attitude like, well, it doesn't matter what I have, blah, blah,

blah... With posting my diet each day I felt like I had a bunch of

supportive friends who would be disapointed if I ate crap, not critical,

but sad with me, you know???

So, I'm going to post for these next few days even though we are not

officially on the Challenge just so I stay in the habit... you will see why

I need to when you see some of the crap that went into my mouth today, I

made " okay " choices but I also cheated, not on the challenge because there

isn't one but on myself...:(

Breakfast

two slices of Bologna 2gms

Coffee with cream 2gms

started out okay....

Lunch

NewYorker Sub -- Corned beef, Swiss cheese and Coleslaw

I ate only the meat, cheese and a few bites of the slaw and I ate only one

piece of the sub (probably about 10-15 grams of white bread sub roll) and

tossed the rest. I am itching now to pay for that wheat!!

Snack (hold onto your hats)

4 (count them 4) little hershey miniatures Special Dark variety...

Chocolate my downfall, now I have cravings galore (bagels, toast, cereal,

spaghettiiiii ARRRGH) -- I have no idea how many carbs in those candies

because they weren't labelled... I've been tough about not eating these

they are always around at the clinic but they were calling my name LOUD

today. During the holidays people ALWAYS bring candy and sweets to the

clinic, it is going to be very hard to ignore them!!

Coffee with cream 2gms

1 scoop of Atkins Cappucino mix and water 1gm (as if that would make up for

the chocolates, but it did prevent me from eating 4 more!!!)

Dinner

My hubby showed up at the clinic at closing time and took me out for some

Hot Wings and a i, my salvation from the chocolate!!!! ARRGGGH I

didn't even tell him!!! he's been really sticking to the program very

well, but he'll suspect it when I have to go past him to take the allergy

pills so I can sleep *(before I started Atkins I took them everyday because

of the itching -- now I only need them if I eat white bread/flour, even the

tiniest bit will start it right back up again!!!)

So, it is good the challenge won't start until Oct. 1 I'll need that long

to get my act together to be good!!

Sharyl. (welcome Pam, nice to meet you!! I'm relatively new, started in

July here and on Atkins since the end of May)

CONGRATULATIONS CATHERINE!!!! WOOO HOOOOOOO, I knew you could do it! Great

job. Sharyl and Joanne, CONGRATULATIONS to you too, you were both such an

inspiration to me to keep going even during the roughest times. I'll be ready

for the next one so you girls better watch out!

sharyl have you thought about trying russell stovers sugar free candies.

they are in a small bag for about $1.38 at walmart stores. there are

several varieties, like PB cups, pecan delights and choco covered

carmels.very good but only if you can stop at a few to keep down the

carb count. they really help my craving for treats.
