Guest guest
My mom used to give me angostora(sp) bitters for anything tummy related. Apparently a home remedy from Trinidad. It also has a lot of alcohol and tastes horrible, but it really does work like a charm..... Maybe because it cauterizes everything.... HA HA. Jessie- I puked today for only the second time since I got my band, and I liked it! How's that for perverse? It's nice to know that it works a little! > > >The reason gripe water works so well is the alcohol content is very high >for babies ( it probley gives the baby a buzz and they forget they have >a problem ) > >Janet Edmonds wrote: >> >> >> >> Hi Jessie >> When my daughter was a baby (she is now 21), there was a thing on the >> market that was called Gripe Water which you gave to babies for colic. Guest guest
Hi Jessie When my daughter was a baby (she is now 21), there was a thing on the market that was called Gripe Water which you gave to babies for colic. It did wonders for hiccoughs too. Another cure for hiccoughs is to take ten small sips of water in close succession, though I have my doubts that either of these will work for rumbling tum. Is it possible that your upper gut thinks it's full but your lower gut knows it isn't? So far this isn't a problem I have personally encountered but I wouldn't be bothered by it if I were you. Guest guest
Hi Jessie! How are you! At only 3 1/2 weeks post op, I'm not sure that I'm the one to be giving you advice, but my stomach is also very noisy. And interestingly enough, I get the hiccups very often - this has all been going on long before my surgery so I don't think the band has much to do with it. Anyway, I take Lozec at night, and it really seems to help. Also, right after having the band, I could feel my port very easily. Now, because my bra rests on it, I can't feel it anymore - at all! Is this normal? Did I lose my port? Did it relocate without telling me? ) Love Denny dmoffatt@... ---------- > > To: bandsters (AT) onelist (DOT) com > Subject: Sunday > Date: June 13, 1999 10:37 AM > > > > Sally: Congratulations on your successful first fill. I'm sorry you couldn't make it, it was quite an experience. All those kids with ears just like . and all those kids that have been through the surgery(s) and look so wonderful! It was quite informative and Dr. Brent and Dr. J. were just really warm and friendly. Oh, and they promised they have no plans to retire in the next 6 years! Whew!
