Guest guest
Thanks so much Francisco - I appreciate your warm words and efforts. Adrienne Re: Conflicting Feelings Adrienne:Best to you and your hubby and family. Wow, this puts my "insignificant" problems into perspective. But I know how you feel regarding the solid food. His lymphoma did not shrink enough for his doctor's satisfaction so we're going on a "booster dose" - every Monday for the next four weeks. That means I sit with him for eight hours while he receives his chemotherapy. It's going to be rough but we'll get through it. Guest guest
Actually the day went pretty well. Sheldon got through chemo in good time without any side effects and we were all able to sit down and eat dinner together for the first time since my surgery. He had his nurse to "invite" me on the scale after him and I got great news - 256 lbs. down 18 lbs. since surgery 10 days ago. That made both of us really happy. Just remember to have a thought or two of something positive for just you. It can be difficult when caring for ill spouses. I have a friend at work doing the chemo/infusion bit with her husband and she got sick and was down a whole month. So take care and my thoughts are with you.Jeanne
Guest guest
Hey - I really lived it up tonight. I scrambled up some tofu with the egg! I only ate about half but it was something different. Adrienne Re: Conflicting Feelings That's great about the food going down easily. After my surgery, I didn't eat any "real" egg, I scrambled ½ portions of Egg Beaters for one of my first solid foods. (I had gotten very used to Egg Beaters for many years, since my cholesterol got high).I pray for a good outcome for your husband. He needs your support, as I'm sure he gave you support during your surgery.--Sandi H.
