Guest guest
Betsy, I am sure it's due to the surgery. Your body experienced a trama and it's hanging on to anything it can get as it's thinking that you have been harmed in some way. I would not worry about it a bit. And anytime you have anesthetic your body experiences a lot of changes since it was 'put to sleep'. Glad to hear your doing so well. Hugs, Moe Back from surgery with a question Clear DayGood morning everyone. I had surgery Monday afternoon and came home Tuesday afternoon. I am doing better than I thought I would be. Still sore some but getting around pretty good, I think. Anyway, here is my question....I got on the scale this morning, cheating by getting on a day early, and had a 4 pound gain. I was totally shocked because I had nothing to eat all day Monday, only a few sips of clear liquid Tuesday and then ate very light yesterday. Is my body just holding on to all the fluids they pumped into me. I thought for sure I'd have a good loss this week. Hmmmmm, very discouraging. Any ideas? Thanks. In His Grip! Guest guest
Betsy: Take it from someone who has been there before, you haven't gained any weight. This is all fluid & from the surgery you had. I have done the very same thing you did, by hopping on the scales, and was shocked to learn instead of losing, I had actually gained weight. Believe me, keep on doing all the right things & one morning you will hop on the scales & it will all be gone, plus probably more. Glad to hear your surgery went so well & you are up and about so soon. Sharon H. Back from surgery with a question Clear DayGood morning everyone.
