Hello, I just wanted to post that I have achieved my first goal.

That goal was to be 199 or below by March 31st. As of this morning,

I weigh 198 for a total of 51.5 pounds gone but certainly not

forgotten.

I am six weeks post op and feeling pretty good with the exception of

getting bored with the stage III diet. Other than that, I can't

complain.

I just want to say thank you to the post ops that helped me through

my process and continue to encourage, advise and uplift. Thanks to

the pre ops because you keep me inspired and remind me everyday of

where I was and just how far I have come...mind, body and spirit. I

hope you guys will never give up no matter what it looks like, just

know that it is only temporary and its only a distraction. Just know

that you will get there if you just keep your eyes on your mark. I

for one will be here to encourage you and can't wait to hear your

stories about your journey.

Thanks for listening.

Pam:

Congratulations on such a monumentous achievement. I think you have

made a VERY, VERY important point:

" I hope you guys will never give up no matter what it looks like... "

That is a key part of this journey. Never giving up hope, never

giving up on me.

I may have faced (and will face) many challenges, but I will always

be there for me no matter what.

I need to remember that courage is not the absence of fear. It is

recognizing that fear and walking through it.

I'm so happy for you Pam.

Cecilia, it really is. Before having children I

weighed 130 and it would fluctuate up to 140 and ping

pong back and forth and I was fine. After children, I

just kept going up and up until I maxed out at 249.5.

It really feels so weird. I really don't see the

change but others notice and my dear husband is really

crazy. This morning when I got on the scale I started

doing the happy dance and he said what is it now. I

showed him. Well when I got ready to get in the

shower I took my gown off (something I would never

have done in front of him before) and he had this

horrid look on his face. I said don't look and whats

wrong. He said you are so little and I said I am not.

He said Pam stop and look at your waist for a minute

and your legs and your breast. He said basically the

entire body. He said can't you see the changes and I

just said yeah but I didn't. I do see it in my face

and neck and my legs but not as much as the face and

neck. I am so happy. Thank you guys so much for your

support.

Now, you're in ONE-DERLAND! (wonderland)

Congradulations!

About the bordeom with the food . . . sometimes I think of food kind

of as " medicine " for my good health. I just eat what I need to in

order to get/stay healthy. Remember, some of the stuff you loved pre-

surgery may not agree with you post-op. It is that way with most

meats for me. I find the burgers I loved pre-op are sometimes too

dense for me to eat the same. I have to be careful and eat meats

very slowly. " Eat S-L-O-W-L-Y " is my mantra now! LOL

Anyways, it's great that you reached your first goal. I wish you

success in all your goals!

Colleen, that is too funny because I go through the

touching and feeling thing every night. He saids the

same thing. Sometimes, I try to smother my laughing

and giggling because he sounds so shocked and just

can't believe the transition. Its funny and I am

starting to learn how to enjoy these special moments

and all the attention because at first is was just

overwhelming.

Keep up the great work Colleen. It will come off

before you know it.

I went to my 6 weeks post op class and saw . She

was the life of the meeting. She loos super fantastic

and boy she was already confident but this has really

boosted her confidence. She just looks simply

beautiful and it shows. Richmond says that we will be

on stage III for six more weeks (until we reach 12

weeks) and then when we come back at 12 weeks they

will issue a restaurant card for dining out. Well you

should be going to your six week post op class right

about now. They weighed us and I weighed two pounds

heavier on theirs and I don't even care. I am going

by my scale as I have since I startd losing at

orientation and I will be using mines for the rest of

my life. I made goal by mines and need to drop one by

theirs (198 by mines and 200 by theres).

Okay, got to get back to work.

Big hug to you.
