Guest guest
Hi Hard to kill old habits, mine just won't lay down and die! I still fill my plate, although I know I won't be able to eat it all. I too have still got that 'no hunger' feeling and I won't have a fill until it goes. My surgeon wants me to wait as long as possible and recommends to try and leave it for three months. I have a hard time not joining the " clean plate club " as I have done for the last dozens of years. I sometimes find myself ordering things that I know will be easily eaten, i.e., soups, scrambled egg, soft, veggie things vs. meat and bread which I know I can only eat in small, very well chewed quantities, that is something I need to be careful about. I don't know if you need counseling or not but it seems that by acknowledgeing and recognising the cues to eat more you are already conquering the urges. Best of luck Suzanne
Guest guest
, I have my band since April 19. the first few weeks afterwards I wasn't hungry at all. I found myself craving for food mentally, sometimes I eat to fast or wanted to eat something like icecream ... So far I have managed to walk the straight line and have remained on healthy food. But I am very hungry now. Once I have eaten, the hunger goes away for a couple of hours and then comes back ... Now I eat a couple of times less than what I used to eat before the band. But I still long for sweet things (ice, cookies, chocolate, ...) I have to fight myself not to eat them. I felt a bit disappointed after my first fill (May 18). I can eat as much as before, the feeling of hunger hasn't changed a bit ... Next fill is June 15, I hope that then it will have more effect ... -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: ANDREW andrewpc@...> Aan: BANDSTERS bandsters (AT) onelist (DOT) com> Datum: vrijdag 28 mei 1999 5:31 Onderwerp: On FILLING I still have not felt the urge to get a fill.
