Wife dies after donating kidney

Hi,

Not mean to scare, it was reported in today's paper in S'pore that a 33-year-old

woman donated one of her kidneys to her husband, who had been on dialysis for

several years.A few hours after the operation, she collapsed in a ward at the

hospital and died.A post-mortem will be carred out to determine the caused.

According to the report,the operation is considered very safe for both donor and

recipient, with one death out of 3,000 kidney donors worldwide.Sorry if I have

offended anybody with this news.
