I would suggest that you leave a message at Zion Lutheran Church to

have Celia call you if you would like info on piano lessons.

Their phone number is

Celia that is the choir

instructor at the church where the Ferndale group meets, is also a

piano instructor. Her son has autism and Celia is a great lady.

I spoke with her awhile back about some piano lessons for Abby. Abby

changed her mind and doesnt want to do them now. However I am sure that

Lynn or Laurey would have her number. Celia might even be at the church

Monday for the Ferndale meeting, I know she does have her choir

practice there.

FAR Conservatory has a music therapist on staff that I believe also

does private in-home lessons/sessions. Her name is Carolyn Sayre,

M.T.-B.C.

You can contact her via FAR at . They also have a

website at http://comnet.org/far.

They will be starting their fall sessions on September 8th. Music

Therapy/Lesson and Art Therapy, Movement and Dance sessions, ice

skating, gymnastics, etc. They have private or groups sessions

available too.

Our son has been going for a year and a half for both music and art

therapy sessions and he has come a very long way from holding his

ears initially to now playing songs and singing. His finished art

projects are pretty amazing too..but then I'm his mom...so anything

he does is. We also found out he has perfect pitch, which can be a

little irritating, especially when he tells me to stop singing when

I'm off key.

Hope this helps,

Carolyn
