I never did find the small Lenders bagels but I did find the Sara Lee ones

that are 3 points and they are great!! Thanks for suggesting them. It's been

quite a while since I had a good bagel because I hate to eat more than 4 or

5 points at breakfast. I also found low fat Philadelphia cream cheese in

jalapeño flavor and I love it! It's 1 point per Tbs and tastes great.

I love bagels! I buy the Sara Lee brand, regular bagel -- nothing weird

about them. But they make TWO sizes! The regular package is 20 ounces, and

they're 5 or 5.5 points each. But they also make a 13-oz package, which are

only 3 points each! They come in plain, blueberry, onion and I think

cinnamon-something. I eat these all the time! They're a nice, dense,

filling NORMAL bagel!! By the way, all the supermarkets here in So. CA

carry them, but I buy them at Von's/Safeway.

I found the plain ones anyway. They were out of the raisin and didn't carry

the onion. Going to check for the onion ones at a different store. I keep

shopping at the Albertsons down the street because it's close but it just

ticks me off every time I go there because they never have what I'm looking

for.

Kris,

That's interesting! I normally shop at Von's (Safeway-owned), and I get so

frustrated at their limited choice of low-point foods, like the bagels and

Smart Ones desserts, etc. I have found the local Albertson's to carry many more

of these items, including the one-point Alternative Bagels that can't be found

in any other market around here! The Sara Lee onion bagels are good, but I

wish they'd make a whole wheat one too. Instead, what do I see on all the bread

shelves....? Lots of variety of low-carb this and low-carb that. Sheesh.

Hope you find your onion bagels!

Years ago when I was doing WW, WW had their own brand of ice cream in half

gallon cartons. I loved the vanilla, especially to make sodas with. (orange

diet pop with vanilla WW was heavenly). I haven't seen WW ice cream in years.

Is there any ice cream that would be equal to WW? Or what should I look for?

Help please!

I remember Von's from when I lived in El Cajon (San Diego). I remember having a

Von's card--they probably got rid of those with all the debit and credit card

acceptance. I think Fresno is as far north as they come.

I thought not being able to find the Smart Ones deserts was mostly a west

coast thing. We hear about all these great things WW is coming out with and

it takes a year (if ever) before we see them in stores.

Maybe it's just the " grass is always greener " syndrome. I have no problem

with Albertsons in general, we used to live by a really nice one that had

great staff that would special order anything for you and go the extra mile.

This one by us now is only a couple years old and it's smaller and always

under-staffed. The cost of produce is ridiculous and you frequently find

moldy strawberries and stuff like that. I was in there the other day and

tossed some English muffins in my cart, then went to put something else in

and I noticed the muffins were moldy on the tops...YUCK!!! Then there is the

fact that I will buy something one day and then go back the next week and

they don't have it again. Then I will ask someone who works there and they

tell me they have never carried that! Okay then how is it I bought them last

week and your machine printed me out a dollar off coupon for it. I picked up

a package of FF hot dogs last week and the 'sell by' date was May 15, glad I

noticed it before I got them home. I think they just have very poor

management. The Safeway on the other hand doesn't always have what I want

but the staff is always very nice and they ALWAYS offer to special order

anything if you can't find it. And I have never once seen moldy food in

there. The only problem with them is the store is not set up very logically

so I am always wondering around trying to figure out where they put things.

Weight Watchers does have Smart Ones ice cream tubs, but IMO, I wasn't too crazy

about either the Moose Tracks or the Neopolitan.

Skinny Cow has a great Mint Chocolate Chip for 2 pts. a cup (I haven't tried any

of the other flavors) & of course, many or all of the Healthy Choice Sugar Free

& regular flavors are 2-4 pts.

We are starting to get more of them now but I can only find the French

cheesecake, the cones, éclairs, and sometimes the brownie one. No key lime

pie, mud pie, carrot cake, cookie dough sundae, peanut butter pie, or double

fudge cake. I don't think I have ever seen any of the cakes except in WW

Magazine adds. I have never tried to special order them either though. I

like the Skinny Cow stuff better so far. I haven't been terribly impressed

with much of the WW food products. I like Healthy Choice foods better and

some of the WW foods seem to high in points to me. I think they could come

up with a pizza for lower than 7 points.

I don't like Key Lime, so I've never looked for it. But I can't recall seeing

the peanut butter pie or carrot cake. But I have seen the other stuff.

I like the Skinny Cows too, they're great.
