Guest guest
I made a pasta salad tonight for supper. It was betty crocker's suddenly salad, ranch and bacon. the nutritional information says that its 1.5 fat grams a serving, but there is an asterisk, and the info below says 20 g of fat a serving as prepared. Since they are using full fat mayo for this, I dont count that 20 g of fat a serving, correct? i use the amount of f grams that count for the mayonaise i used. Okay. I used half a cup of ff sour cream and half a cup of mayo. (made two boxes) the mayo was lite, one point a T and i used half a cup so that was 8 points. one serving of the pasta salad going by just the fat grams for everything without the mayo was 3 pts, according to the points calculator. I ate two servings so I was counting 6 pts plus a point for the dressing, which would make it 7. I then added a half cup of crabmeat for two points, so i had a huge salad for nine. I also put in a huge tomato. The kids liked the dish too, so i will make it again. What surprised me was it had a lot of flavor, even without all the fat. Im still finding surprises like this. christi
