Guest guest Posted February 18, 2005 Report Share Posted February 18, 2005 I just found out the " Protonix " some of you are talking about is pantoprazole. I've been taking that for years. In Canada, it's marketed under the name " Pantoloc " . I personally don't see how that drug would stop nausea. It might cause some though. It suppresses the production of stomach acid - it's the same class of med as Prilosec (just Losec in Canada), Prevacid, etc. It's very common for people on prednisone and other immunosuppressants to be prescribe one of these drugs in order to prevent stomach erosion.
