I have had similar problems with the plateau's. I do great for so

long, lose like 15 pounds, and then nothing. BUT, what I do is take

measurments, and I find that my body is catching up to the weight

loss, because I loose inches during this time. Not always, but it

does boost my efforts when there is another measure of my progress.

Also, fat weighs less than muscle. For what its worth, that was my

two cents... or two inches?

What you were trying to say, was that muscle weighs less than fat, but either

way, that's still incorrect. A pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of

muscle (as does a pound of anything weigh the same as a pound of something

else). What IS true, is that muscle takes up LESS space than fat. Muslce is

denser than fat, so it needs less room and that's how the inches come off. You

can weigh the same, but be smaller, because inches are coming off. That's why

you can weigh more than your friend and be the same size or even be smaller than

they are. At 165, I can wear 6/8s. When the scale was going up, I was a tight

14 at that weight. When I was 125, I was a 9/10 and that was being a gymnast

(not olympic training, just high school level) and dancer. So even though I'm 40

pounds " heavier " , I wear smaller sizes.
