If you have Kaiser for your insurance I can recommend a great

specialist – Dr. Menard, Plastic Surgeon at Kaiser in Santa Clara.

My son saw him and he was wonderful to work with. There are other members

on this board from the Bay Area that don’t have Kaiser so perhaps they

will chime in with the name of the band-friendly doctor they saw.

If you doctor won’t take you seriously or give you a

referral to a specialist you can always take your son to your local band

provider for an evaluation. Once you have an evaluation and some concrete

evidence that the head is misshapen perhaps your paediatrician will take your

concerns seriously. The closest band provider to San is CIRS:

Subject: [sPAM] need advice!

Hi Everyone,

I suspect my 6 months old son has plagiocephaly. He

likes to sleep on his left side, and always turn to

his left side when he is not sleeping. I have talked

to our pediatrician since he was born, but she thinks

he is fine. We have tried neck exercises & rotating

his sleeping position according to the doctor's

advice. Now that he is 6 months old, and I still

don't see any improvement.

I have uploaded his pictures, would appreciate if any

of you can give me some advice. By the way, I live in

San , if you can recommend a good doctor, that

would be great! Thanks so much!
