Guest guest
Hello: Does anyone know of some good, point-friendly frozen fries out there? I'm getting tired of making my WW Oven Fries recipes, not that they are not good, but they take like 2 hours to make. Thanks!!
Guest guest
Hello, The ia brand which has several varieties and no trans-fat are quite good. They may be hard to find as only one chain (Ingles)carries them around here. There are also a few varieties of the more popular Ore-Ida that are pretty point friendly. Guest guest
I just by our generic Kroger brand and they are great! The crinkle cut are generously sized and only three points for two servings. I love to bake those up with a boca cheese burger for dinner! April > Hello: > > Does anyone know of some good, point-friendly frozen fries out > there? Guest guest
Hi there, in response to the line where you say it takes you 2 hrs to get your potatoes ready for oven fries. What I do is weigh out my raw potatoes to the amount I want and then just slice them in large thin rounds. ( like large Potatoe Chips are) I never cut them up like fries. I spray my baking pan and then lay all the potatoes on it and lightly spray the tops and sprinkle whatever spices that I want to use on the tops. I bake in high oven around 470 or so, while keeping an eye on them so as not to overdo them.. Guest guest
Hey Kallie: The reason it takes me two hours is because I've been using the Oven Fries recipe in one of my WW cookbooks. One of the steps is you have to soak them in cold water for like 20 minutes to make them crispy (which has never worked. I like them non-crispy anyway.). Then bake for 45 minutes. So add that to chopping time, and you've got nearly two hours. I tried another way yesterday and from chopping to eating, it took an hour. Yee Hah! And they were really good too!! Thanks! - > > Hello: > > > > Does anyone know of some good, point-friendly frozen fries out > > there?
