Here's a simple catsup recipe which is easy and good for all Phases. It's

from Lendon 's book _Foods for Healthy Kids_. Moderators, please put it

in the files.

Natural Castup

12 oz. tomato paste

1/2 c apple cider vinegar

1/2 c water

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp oregano

1/8 tsp cumin

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp dry mustard

1/8 tsp garlic powder

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Keep refrigerated.

Yield: 1 1/3 cups

It is allowed if you want to use it. I always recommend folks be informed

about these products though -- artificial sweeteners are billed as being

safe but that is an arguable position at the least. In the case of splenda,

see http://www.truthaboutsplenda.com for a starting point.
