Guest guest
Hey Y'all, I'm still here. I finished treatment 9/28, but then other aspects of my life exploded. My birth Mother (who I am very close to) was diagnosed with cancer of the appendix, and developed such a huge wound after her surgery (She's a type II diabetic) that she had to go into rehab for wound care and physical rehab. Just recently, she's been readmitted to Baylor in Dallas because of another massive infection. She hasn't even gotten to chemo and radiation yet, and we were diagnosed at about the same time. My adoptive mother has senile dementia, and we needed to change her living situation, as one of my older sisters was taking advantage of the situation (A brand new car for me, and my children? Why, sure, Mom.) So there is continuing legal ugliness there. My older brother is declaring bankruptcy, and my younger brother and his wife are doing in vitro (I told him that we NEEDED a baby right about now - LOL). I'm still reading everything, and nearly posted when it looked like was going to leave (Nooooooooooooo). Shout out to Marisa and Jude, hope y'all are well. My hair came back very white/silver/grey and I love it. It's having a party on my head and I'm not invited, but who cares? It's hair! Am having no side effects on Tamoxifen, but when the weather got colder, I got substantially stiffer. California is looking good. I am so happy to be here, now, that I just start laughing sometimes. Take care, everyone. R.
