Guest guest
Yea, I've "checked it out". It took fertility drugs and 4 years to get PG and now, even though there's no chance of me getting PG on my own, I have to take BCP the rest of my life to regulate my hormones. Who knows how much I'd weigh without them!!!! MEN - they have it SO easy! :-

Guest guest
I was doing " body building " before I got into cycling, and I know the body builders are against too much aerobics as well, and they told me if I got into cycling I would develop different muscles, which were longer and slow twitching, I believe? But I don't really get it. I know that a lot of cyclists do a lot of weight training for the legs in order to be able to take those hills. But even apart from that, how about if you do upper body weight training? Can't you have body builder muscles on your upper body and runner/cyclist muscles on your lower body? I've kind of given up the body building since I started cycling, partly just because of the discouragement of doing both ... partly because of time constraints ... I simply can't do everything, and my cycling is taking up a lot of time, and it's taking time away from my kids, and I don't want to leave them for even more time to hit the gym. Also, I did find that my weight loss *stalled* when I was doing a lot of weight lifting. I know muscle weighs more than fat, and I know that the damage weight lifting does to muscles (this is the mechanism by which it makes muscles grow by the way) also causes swelling and fluid retention ... and I suspect the same from running and cycling since my weight is always up a bit the day after a really long ride. But at some point it seemed it should have evened out a bit more than it did. I haven't done weights, just because I am a runner, and that tends to shorten my muscles, and I need them long, and lean for running. Guest guest
Kimra, I'm 5'3 and my goal weight is 130. I think 140 is the highest you can be at this height and healthy. Techically I belive the lowest being 115 but this depends on your age as well. Maybe you should be working on toning and not losing. Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear that you are not where you want to be. Have you checked out this other thing? Love, Kimra Kai Partida Re: Good morning Kimra:I have a condition called Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome that makes my whole system out of whack. It started with sporadic periods as a teen, inability to get PG as an adult, and now, it is effecting my weight. I am lucky, in that I am small in comparison to most with my condition, but I am 15 lbs heavier than when I (finally) got PG and that's just not acceptable to me. The only way I have lost any weight is by sheer starvation and then it comes right back when I eat normal.I have friends who did Body For Life (which does the 6 small meals a day and weight training) and they have lost tons of weight. I just wonder if WW is the right thing for me. Nothing seems to work...................Amy McLawhorns Kids RepWWW.KELLYSKIDS.COM

Guest guest
It took me five years and a prescription for fertility pills to get pregnant the first time. Then a year later I found myself pregant again ... surprise! And since then I haven't been able to turn it off! I've had five kids and one miscarriage, and the last time I got pregnant I had a Norplant birth control implant! Sharon ----Original Message Follows---- From: McLwhrn4@... Guest guest
Is there any way that I can not receive all the emails and just stay in the group? I'd rather go into the website and read the posts because of the amount of the huge amount emails going into my account. Thanks, Marilee Re: Good morning It took me five years and a prescription for fertility pills to get pregnant the first time. Then a year later I found myself pregant again ... surprise! Guest guest
Perhaps you are right. I don't really measure everything, and nighttime is sooooo hard for me. I am just so weak at night. I just can't imagine how I can be so active and still struggle so. You are right though, I do know how to eat, I just cant' seem to do it. Almost everymeal is carbs, and I am a bite here, a bit off the kid's plate, a bit making dinner. It's hard fro me not to snack. But even though I still don't feel like I eat that much, maybe it is the wrong things. I followed the Powter thing for a while, and I loved the idea of eatign real food all the time. I have a question, though. My mom is very overweight and has been all her life (350), and so I am not sure I have ever seen how a normal person eats. Do "normal" people eat sweet things everyday, do they take bites all the tiem? Do they snack? How many times a day do they eat? I mean wha tis normal, What so they sanck on? I want to eat like a normal person. To look at me you would never know. Long blonde ahir, blue eyes, thin to most people, but I have been known to hide food. It is so weird, I want to be normal, I just don’t' know how to be. It's my little secret. Okay I just bared my soul to about 1000 people. Love, Kimra Kai Partida Good morningDate: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 08:28:46 -0500Good morning all. I am supposed to weigh in today, but don't' feel like it. I can just hear my bathroom scale beckoning me.............."Kimraaaaaaa, you need to knowwwwwww" LOL. So I will probably check my weight. I did okay yesterday, had a protein shake again, and we had company, and they brought a fruit tart, and I had some. I didn't think I was in too much danger becase I ran 8 miles that morning, but I feel like maybe I did.Okay I just went to check, and I am at 137, still. I was 135 last week. Okay guys. Now I am frustrated, I can' tseem to lose weight at all. Even though I exercise so much. Maybe WW isn't for me.Love, Kimra Kai Partida_________________________________________________________________The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
