Guest guest
Hello again everyone... I thought I was in the clear as not having AFIB.. I had bloodwork done... the dr. said that Im normal with thyroid, sugar..altho cholesterol is 189 still under 200. I was a bit disturbed by that. I KNOW I have been eating a lot more cheese lately..and I find that if I buy cheese, I can't stop eating it. Its like some passionate luxury.. or neverending guilty pleasure.. but I QUIT cheese today. In fact.. I went straight to the store and switched to Plain Silk soy milk and bought cereal.. and I was already eating soy cheese .. but I am not eating pastries or fattening foods..even though I lost weight.. I was NOT ending the eating of these things.. only reducing them. I bought these foods.. upset from the results that came back about the exercise stress test. She said .. it was a summation.. there are " abnormalities " in the readings..and I managed to say.. " what do the abnormalities mean? " and she said..that they seemed to suggest " blood clots in the heart " . In her office after hearing some of my symptoms and without any of her own readings or tests, she said " I suspect chronic AFIB " . Such a thing said BEFORE any testing can only produce more anxiety. I would never suggest any doctor state a patient has chronic anything or any disease without having run a gamut of tests! I get the EKG and she comes back into the room, telling me my heart readings were " normal'. So's the bloodwork.. until the stress test. She wants to send me back for an echo cardiogram.. and I don't know much about this.. what it will show.. how accurate it is.. what I should be eating in the meantime.. I know you all know a great deal about the heart.. I was hoping you could give me some advice .. as I continue researching this on the web. This just sucks.. I am too young to have this..although I know people do..and far too vivacious .. and I just have to persevere.. and share what I know. Why would she say that a cholesterol total reading of 189 is not bad? That sounds terrible to me. Wouldnt a doctor suggest I start losing weight immediately? That was not suggested. Having her tell me this makes me feel at the slightest provocation I might just stroke out or die in my sleep. I mean, this is a horrible way to feel! Thanks for your input.
