Guest guest
From Lois Jervis loislane@... Hi everyone, I too have found the dating scene very daunting. I have avoided it for a number of years as I have felt very insecure about my weight-gain and still finding it hard to have confidence when I meet someone. I actually went on a blind-date tonight and I was really nervous but things went well. I told him I was overweight before he met me in case he changed his mind but he was ok with that so that was a plus to start with. I take vitamins in tablet form and I don't have a problem with swallowing. I wasn't allowed to have them for about a month after my op until then I had my vitamins in liquid form. By the way, I started a casual job this week working in a clothing/department store, I've never done this type of work before and I really like it. I can think about something else rather than food! LOL I travelled alone for my op but I didn't have to go far. My brother picked me up in my car as my doctor said I wasn't to drive for a week, something about liability should I have an accident. I was pretty weak after my op so I was glad to get a lift. I tried grocery shopping that day and even though I did get it done, I had to rest every 10 minutes or so. I wouldn't try it again though. Bye for now Lois from Brisbane, Australia
