Debie: if the bacteria is in the hardened 'slime' , can they remove the

band, the hardened 'slime' and spray you with disinfectant (basically, make

sure you're all sanitary!!) and put in a new band? Why is the risk of

bacteria AGAIN so high is they clean you out and replace another band?

Success=Hope for the Best, Be Prepared for the Rest. Much Luck, Debi

Carina,

10kgs in 5 weeks is good.

But remember, everybody is different. Some people will lose more, some will lose less.

Just be happy!

Ken

Carina,

10kg's in 5 weeks is a WONDERFUL loss! Congratulations

& at that rate you will be another happy 'loser' in no

time.

Those little treats have to happen sometimes just to

prove you are still human!!

Keep up the good work.

Carina,

If it were me, I would be thrilled at that type of a loss but as has been

said before, gently gently. Weight lost hastily can more easily be regained

than weight lost slowly and consistently. Be pleased with yourself Carina,

and pat yourself on the back, you are doing great.

Are you feeling well? Give us a Karin type rundown. All the highs and the

lows.

How are the horses? My employment's first warmblood was born last night,

unfortunately it found its way into the dam and did not survive. We have a

foaling paddock but the mare had given no signs and was actually no due for

a few weeks, very sad, and an expensive loss. But thats the way of horses.

Sorry for the digression.

Karin, I love your detailed blow for blow. Its a bit scary for me of the

unbanded land but its better to get the whole story so there are not any

surprises.

Thanks Ken and Sue for your kind words.

Jo, you REALLY want a blow by blow account? Jeez I'll bore everyone stupid!

LOL I am fine, have had no problems at all, which makes me feel so sorry for

Karin as she has had so many problems. Everything has gone smoothly, no

pain, no nausea nothing! I am eating most things except I discovered I

cannot eat bread! One mouthful and that was it, threw up for the first time!

My horses are fine, although today I lost my helper :-( She has started a

new job (my friend a who agists her horses here had lost her job so

has been feeding and helping with the horses since I went into hospital) so

now I have to feed 20 horses all by myself! Damn it was good having a helper

for a while Dreading the coming stud season, I will have 40 horses here

counting outside mares! Yikes! All on 18 acres! Thats sad losing the foal

that way, I always stress about things like that. My first foal is due in 6

weeks and I am stressing a bit as the mare has had major problems the last

couple of times so everyone is on alert with her.

Re the conversation about potatoes, I can relate I LOVE potatoes and would

happily eat nothing else! LOL

Hope everyone is well

Carina
