You do need an Rx to get the band. However CT can assess your baby and

help provide you with info for your doctor to help " convince " them. If

the doc still isn't willing, and you feel it is needed, you can find a

new doctor willing to prescribe. Unfortunately that is sometimes

needed, since some doctors are very stubborn about banding.

In this case I'm suggesting them as a second opinion to see if your

child requires a band, and also they would be able to discuss what

kind of changes you could expect to see.

some starband providers (and others) also do assessments, but I don't

know the policies from one ortho to another. since CT is a centralized

business I know how their facilities work.
