Guest guest
Britt, I don't know how HUMAN doctors do it, but we diagnose ringworm by plucking some fur from around it and culturing it on a special medium for dermatophytes (ringworm). Within a few days you know if it's ringworm by the change in colour of the medium. I guess in humans you don't 'pluck fur' but scrape some of the skin and put it on the medium (which looks like orange jello). It may pass on its own - I have had ringworm many times and usually do nothing and it passes. There are medications but I know you're more holistically minded and these medications are anything but that . Good luck, Vered brittgower@... wrote: > > O.k. I changed my mind. Guest guest
There is topical cream available OTC; no need for doctor/prescription. I might try some of the homeopathic remedies. I just don't want it on my face...that would look icky...everything else I can cover I got the impression that the scraping was cultured, but maybe she didn't get enough?? Who knows. Talked to my mom today and asked if her animals had it. She said, " No, " but that she has some strange rash on her that just keeps coming back...the creme she was given works temporarily, but doesn't solve the problem. Anyway, we are both going to see dermatologists and see what they have to say. Hopefully it won't be anything worse!! LOL Britt
