Guest guest
Ellen I don't reply often on this list but I had to write to you about this. Your daughter probably has dysplasia. It means the cells are changing. The test will show if she has carcinoma in situ, which is a precancerous condition but not rare or deadly as long as you get it taken care of. About half the women I know have had this condition. I had it back in 1984 and had laser surgery to remove it. I had a baby later and have never had any problems. I don't think it has anything to do with breast cancer, it isn't like cervical cancer. Please don't worry too much, she will be fine. hugs Pam
Guest guest
I have a question that I'm sure someone will know the answer to. What is neuropathy? I've heard many say that they suffer from it. Thanks girls! Hope all is well with everyone. Tomorrow morning I go to see an endrochronologist specialist (thyroid issues) and to get my CT to take yet another look at the two spots on my lungs (pray that they haven't changed please). So, it's off to another day of tests and waiting.....always waiting for something. Been a tough week here - getting nervous about surgery next Tuesday and then my Primary calls with results from my daughter's (17 years old) PAP and it came back pre-cancerous. YIKES! Someone else to worry about now. She's scheduled for a colposcopy on December 8th. I KNOW it's not my fault, but I keep blaming myself for passing on my yucky genetics to her. Keep the faith everyone. Love to all! Ellen
Guest guest
Neuropathy has to do with the nerves. Most of the ladies have tingling, sometimes burning and numbness in the feet, legs and arms. Sometimes the skin can become very sensitive and you may have pain. Guest guest
Hi, Ellen - I'm sending you hugs for the spots on your lungs and for your worries about your daughter - we must all be strong together. Neuropathy means nerve death. I have peripheral neuropathy (nerve death around the edges <G>) from the Taxol in Summer 2005. My fingertips are slightly numb so that I am unsure when doing up buttons etc, and if I go to pick up a pin from the box I have to look to see if I have one, or more, or none. And most of my toes are quite dead - the right colour and temperature, and they wiggle when I want them to, and if I stub a toe it hurts, but mostly I can't feel them at all. My chemo nurse said " Some people get the feeling back - eventually " so I'm still hopeful, but I am just getting used to it. Love, Margery. ============================================ margery@... in North Herts, UK ============================================ > What is???? > > I have a question that I'm sure someone will know the answer > to.
