Hi Janet, I would love to have a look at the video of that programme if BBC

sends it to you. I did not know that gastric banding was performed at

Southampton General Hospital. Was it the Lapband or the Swedish band?

No, I mean they sited the BAND around the base of the oesophagus, not the

stomach!!! Every bit of information I have seen shows the band forming a

pouch at the top of the stomach, not around the oesophagus, isn't that right?

It looked like Swedish ... I think. I have already made enquiries and I'm

hopeful that I will be able to get a copy.

Sorry chaps, I tried my best to get a copy of this programme, but no go.

Apparently they will only give copies to those people who actually took

part, something to do with copyright laws.
