The bands are basically the same, but will hold on the sides (where

the head is wide) and have extra room in the back for growth. Some

people say that brachy takes longer to correct, because it requires

more growth. However I don't really know if that is true. You can't

reduce extra width or height, but if you direct new growth to the

back, the overall proportion and appearance improves quite a bit.

The band will be custom made for your babies head, and have extra room

where your son needs it. Also adjustments are made according to his

growth. My daughter wore a starband, but DOCband and Hanger bands are

also very effective. The key to success is the experience of the

person working with the band.
